Since its start, mySci has been empowering schools to cultivate curiosity-driven education by assembling in our program everything educators need to teach science.

Easy to Use

mySci expedites preparation by providing extensive, teacher-ready resources and kits of materials that allow teachers to focus on implementation and the needs of their students. Designed for the NGSS
The NGSS include 3 components: Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCI), Science and Engineering Practices (SEP), and Crosscutting Concepts (CCC). In mySci, these components are integrated together to create rich, meaningful science learning experiences for all learners. mySci’s units have earned the NGSS Design Badge, the highest rating for units designed for the NGSS. Based in Research

mySci was developed by the Institute for School Partnership at Washington University in St. Louis. Partnering with scientific experts and educators, the program was co-designed to increase access to high-quality science learning for every student. mySci’s instructional design consists of inquiry-based units with lessons guided by the 5E instructional model. This model helps students delve deep into the NGSS-based curriculum as teachers facilitate sensemaking through exploration. Joyful Phenomena- and Problem-Based Learning
mySci supports teachers to inspire deeper learning in their students through lessons that are phenomena- and problem-based. Our mySci kits provide materials for hands-on, engaging learning that helps instill joy through scientific exploration. mySci units include authentic projects and performance tasks to support meaningful creation and sharing of their learning.

Promotes Equity and Inclusion in Science

The mySci program uses a framework for attending to equity to guide the development of each unit in order to equitably engage students in the science and engineering practices We provide multiple ways for students to participate in and represent their learning as well as differentiation strategies to support all learners. Overall, I am thrilled with this program! My students look forward to science everyday.
